They are not hard up for anything from what I have seen so far. They will be fine. If the kid works hard and doesn't do anything to hurt his chances "if" he is on the team then why does it matter. He has never done anything to any of the Burton coaches that would warrant them not giving him a chance.
very true counts
I just think going into who he is living with is a little invasive
IMO, the only people that need to be concerned with where the kid is living is those responsible for granting his eligibility or helping him try to become eligible.
that is right, if any program around here had a chance to pick up a decent player who had problems at another school i guarantee most schools would look into it. who knows a change of scenery could do him some good, it has worked in the past for other athletes so why not give him the benefit of the doubt andsee how it turns out. and i agree who he is living with should not be a concern except for the people who determine eligibility!
I see nothing wrong with transfers, but if a player leaves because he is or has a problem at one school, things usually don't change once they transfer.
I remember hearing back when the Pinkston kids were in the 8th or 9th grade that they were both gon be WAY better than the Jones brothers....guess that never happened huh? They are both extremely talented though and I have no problem with Malcom going to Burton to play, hope it all works out for him there. Just thought after the reason PV gave him the boot and DB turned him down that it would be the end for that kid, but looks like somebody is willing to take a chance on him.

A good team with play-off hopes could bet a lot on a transfer.
